Wish me luck, I am trying something new, lol

Well, I started an online painting class. We shall see how this works, lol. It involves reading, printing out instruction sheets, practicing the strokes, and taking pictures my work and posting it for the instructor to critique. It was way cheap so we will see if you get what you pay for. I am on lesson 2 (of 13) and am having a blast! So even if I cant paint when I am done I guess the money is well spent! After I practice some I will post some pics of my progress, lol. Boy do I need a LOT of practice!!!!

Good luck with your class. I wish I could paint, but, a straight line is an impossibility for me.

Sorry it took me so long to respond to this but somehow I missed it. It is fun. A trifle frustrating at times because there is not some one right there "showing" me what I am doing wrong (or think I am) but this is a bonus I guess because it forces me to practice more, which is what I really need. The instructor is easily accessible through emails and is very quick to respond to questions etc. When I decided to do this I wondered how in the world it was going to work. When I have completed an assignment (which is a completed design) I take pictures and email them to her and she offers comments and suggestions. Very Very much worth it for me, so far.

They offer a whole bunch of classes at affordable rates and they are all online and at your own pace. The site is easy to navigate through and everything I need is right there. If this one works out as well as I think, I will be taking more. They are not college credit courses but you can get the Continuing Education Credit (although this costs a bit more). Anyway I am babbling here, so, check it out you might find something that you have wanted to learn but could not afford or dont have time to sit in a classroom. I am lovin it so far!!
