Birthday Party Invitations

Howdy-doo everybody,



I would like to print out some really "cool" birthday party invitations for my daughters skating party and do not have a clue where to start.I ordered a CD that creates greeting cards,invit. etc but won`t be here for 2 weeks.The birthday party is planned for the 17th of Jan.and I could go buy some but would really like to make some personal ones for each guest.Any ideas on web sites that are free or are on a trial basis? Hate to buy another program if I don`t have to.

Hi, Val! [img]images/smiley_icons/wavey.gif[/img] This site has two pages of ideas that look pretty simple to put together. The second page has an idea of putting your child's photo on the invitation; however, to make it personal for the child to whom you are sending it, you could put his/her photo on it instead. If you don't have a snapshot, maybe you could scan a class photo. Hope this helps!

I don't know if this would work for you or not, BUT...

For my niece's birthday, I made her birthday party invitations by simply putting a picture of her skating on the front with the typical "You're Invited to A skating party!" It looked nice and was personalized with her pic. That might be an idea if you have a pic of her skating. Actually, I think I put something like, "Megan's skating into her 8th birthday!" or something like that. If you can't find clip arty with skates, try going to ask jeeves and click in skates/skating/skating party and click the bubble marked "pictures" underneath. This will pull up pictures of what you're looking for and maybe you can use one of those for the invite.
