Money Tree:



materials needed:

1. Money Bills(any denomination)

2. Silk flower daffodil leaves

3. Green chenille stems

4. Green Floral wire, 16gauze

5. Green floral tape



Instructions:

(The instructions are for making just one daffodil, the rest of them can be made in a similar way)



Make the petals:

Use a short piece of wire to roll all four corners of one bill back at a sharp angle, forming a point at each end of the bill. (Fig1) Reapeat for a total of three bills, creating six petals (one at each end of each bill).



To join bills together, gather center of each bill. Matching centres, place the ills onntop of each other. Twist chenille stem tightly around the centers. Twist the ends of chenille stem together at the base of petals.



Make the center:

Fold the remaining bill in half lengthwise. Place a lenght of wire along inside the fold. Push ends of bill together along the wire to create gathers.Replace wire with chenille stem. Twist ends of chinelle stem together tightly to form a circle of gathers.



Assemble:

Work stem of daffodil center between petals, so the center is in middle of flower;twist chenille stem of center around chenille stem of petals. Beginning at base of flower, wrap floral tape around chenille stem. Floral tape stems of leaves to flower stem. If longer stem is desired , twist additional stems of chenille onto beginning stem.
