Tip #1:

Details, Details...

Use toothpicks for applying paint to fine details, making tiny dots or applying color in hard to reach areas of your project.


Tip #2:

Cheap Tote Trick

For Painters on the GO! Cardboard six pack cartons are handy for storing and transporting large bottles of paint, finishes etc.

Tip #3:

Curing Dirty Sleeve Syndrome

To avoid accidentally swiping a sleeve across a freshly painted surface place your water or turpentine, palette and supplies to your painting-hand side. This will eliminate the need to reach across your painting and everything you need will be within easy reach.

I am only a beginner painter but I'd like to share a tip. I cover my palette with Glad Wrap (tightly). This way if I need to take a break and want to save the paint you can seal it up in a little package! But also it makes cleanup so easy - just peel off the wrap and dispose of in the bin - no wash up!
