| 2 ouarts strawberries
2 cup sugar
2 tab. lemon juice
WASH AND HULL STRAWBERRIES. PRESS THROUGH SIEVE. REMOVE SEEDS AND MAKE A PUREE. MEASURE 5 CUPS PUREE, ADD SUGAR AND LEMON. LET STAND 2 HOURS. COOK OVER HIGH HEAT TILL IT COMES TO A BOIL. REDUCE HEAT AND SIMMER GENTLY ABOUT 1 HOUR TILL IT THICKENS. STIR OFTEN SO IT DOESN'T STICK. LADLE IN TO HOT STERILIZED JARS AND SEAL. PUT IN A WATER BATH FOR 1O MINUTES.
NOTE...I DON'T REMOVE THE SEEDS. |
