Vanilla Extract Recipe

You can now make your very own extract, and give it away as gifts



2 vanilla beans, split

1 cup vodka

1 airtight glass jar



This takes 3-5 months before it is ready to use. So plan ahead if you want to give as a gift.



Place beans in jar.

Pour vodka over.

Place lid on tightly, and shake.

Store in a cool dark place 3-5 months.

Shake jar occasionally, maybe 1-2x a month.

Pour into decorative bottles,and start baking.



This only makes 1 cup,so if you're going to wait for months and months I suggest doing at least a triple batch.
