handkerchiefs / tatting / edging

does anyone know where i can get handkerchiefs for tatting/edging? i found some at nordic needle.com, but they're sold by the piece, and too expensive. i'm looking to buy in some quantity.

Well, I don't know if this is much help, but for my wedding we made handkerchiefs for the mothers, fathers, and grandparents. We had them embrodered (ignore my spelling) special, but had a hard time finding ladies handkerchiefs. So my mom just bought a large package of mens and cut them down to size. She just added lace to the edging, but you could start with that? I've never made a handkerchief, but couldn't you go to a fabric store and by cotton fabric and cut to size? That maybe the way to get more for your money. Hope this helps!

Ebay and yard sales are great places to find these. I bought a bunch to make a quilt out of them 8-)
