Default PC creator help
Old 03-29-2005, 09:37 AM   #1 (permalink)

Hello I'm new here and I am in need of some help. I just received a program called PC stitch and cannot for the life of me figure it out. I can design my own patterns, but when I try to upload a picture to convert over to a pattern it looks nothing like what it's supposed to. Is there some trick that I need to know? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi! I have a program that I think is very similar called PE design by brother. Mine will do the same thing as you are describing. What I have found out is that you have to get out the manual and follow the instructions EXACTLY. I believe the manufacturers were quite deceptive on promoting that you just put in an image and out comes your stitchable product (at least this seems to be what happened in my case). I have to do a lot of computer tweaking to get a stitchable image, but in the end I've gotten nice designs. Another thing to keep in mind is the stitch density. If you enlarge a design, make sure you increase the stitch density (more stitches per squre inch), and vice versa for shrinking a design (decrease stitch density).

Hope that helps!
