Default Green Bags
Old 11-02-2008, 01:49 PM   #1 (permalink)

Has anyone tried the green bags by Debbie Myers?

We have used them for bananas only so far. They're pretty good IF you remember to make sure they're not wet inside. If they do get wet, they spoil real quick. So, I just turn the bag inside out every other day or so & they're ok. However, bottom line for me is they aren't worth the ten dollars since we don't use them enuf.

My sister uses them and swears by them. She didn't mind the moisture at all. I sure wish I had some now, my bananas are ripening like crazy.

I tried them on shredded lettuce...they didn't last as long in there as it does in the bag it comes in!

Smile Green Bags
Old 11-03-2008, 12:07 AM   #4 (permalink)

I use them for all kind of veggies with good results. My lettuce or salad will keep for several days in one.

Bananas: If you will put the bananas in a brown paper bag and put a twist tie on the top, they will keep long time in the fridge.

Strawberries and grapes: Do no wash. Put in glass jars, put on lid, place in the fridge. They will keep long time.

My husband has cottage cheese each morning and adds Banana, Grapes and Strawberries. We keep them on hand all the time this way.
