Default Sunshine
Old 04-11-2009, 04:27 PM   #1 (permalink)

Ahhhh! Sunshine and almost decent temperatures allowed us to get outside to rake, spread mulch, and uncover plants that are starting to sprout. I feel much better already. Little by little we are eliminating winters damages. Love seeing the plants start to sprout. Spring is here. Each day we will do a little until the muscles get accustomed to the work.

We still have lots of snow in our yard, too.

I can't wait to see what's under the snow in the yard at our trailer. I know there are roses-the previous owner had asked if he could come back after the snow and dig up a couple of them that are special to him/his kids (I think they planted them after his wife died). Of course I said he could.
There are also a couple of cedar-type and spruce-looking shrubs peeking out of the snow.

I'm not exactly a gardener to put it mildly LOL. Anytime I look at a live plant at a store, my family tells me I should leave it there and at least give it a chance!

I like perennials-they do fine despite my lack of a green thumb
I tell everyone that if it's in my yard and it's green and growing I leave it be. It's all good! (I think weeds know they're safe here).
