I garden love the flowers and working at filling up a baseball field LOL I have grown herbs , lettuce in planters too . Was thinking this year i may try pumpkins and squash and maybe some onions :)
I have always planted flowers and a few seeds. Since we moved to Tennessee in Oct, I have to replant. Have some veggie seeds in a portable greenhouse. The weather is so unpredictable here, that I probably planted too soon. Same with the bulbs and tubers i planted. Have to rototill up a garden area yet and figure out how to plant in red clay soil. hey there
here are some pics
first one is the new garden you can see our apple trees ...in between the trees and the garden is where my aspargus and rhubarb grow
second pick is my old garden if you look at the right side of the pick you can see my red raspberry bushes black ones are in the back kind of hard to see with the sun in the way hehehe
third pic is my old garden where we are building my chicken coop i hope to get it almost done this weekend as we are suppose to have nice wheather this pick was taken last fall
i need to start my seeds i have a few egg cartions to germinate the seeds and i joined a gardening group on yahoo, where there is a seed train which passes from state to state person to person taking what u want and replacing it with what seeds u have. i waiting for the train to stop at my mailbox, and also i need to buy some plants for veggies and flowers i think its too late to start seedlings. also i find that buying a six pack of flowers and planting them in containers or hanging baskets is a value to my budget.
well i'll close

I love to garden. I plant tomatos, cucumbers, corn, beans, peas, herbs, strawberries, squash, and peppers. I also do home canning and freezing of our veggies. I think a garening forum is a great idea. We can share our experiences and different techniques for keeping our gardens weed free and canning ideas.
