Hi Shirley...

I have 2 questions for you...

How do I keep the neighbors cats out of my flower beds

How can I stop them from digging up my newly planted bulbs...

I did read that if you put small twigs upright in the flower bed it will keep the cats out...I wonder if that will work...

I'm new & don't quite know my way around this website, but live in MO & love to garden so this is my favorite time of year. perennials are coming up - like old friends I haven't seen in awhile. Of course some "friends" never really completely left, like hollyhocks & columbine. I love to soak up garden info.

I used to have a terrible time with cats in the flower beds. My husband had gotten some creosote (telephone poles and railroad ties are soaked in it) well he soaked long pieces of string in the creosote and wound the string through the flower beds. It worked great. The smell lasts a long time. I don't know where you can get it now.
