Craft Ideas for Large Cans

I found my birdhouse instructions, but could not find the site where I got it from. So I'll try to explain the best I can.

You need: 2 - pine boards 3/4" thick, cut 4 1/2 square

2 - 1/4 " thick plywood pieces, cut 6" x 9"

1/4 " dowel, 8 1/2 " long

1 1/4 " finishing nails.

1 - 11 oz. coffee can

Hooks, wire or chain for hanging.



Tools needed - Saw and power drill



The 2 pine boards are the front and back. The front one you will drill a 1" hole in. The back one you mount the can onto. The dowel goes underneath the can and thru the board to form the perch.

The 2 pieces of plywood make go together in a V to create the roof.

(Drill a couple of drainage holes in the top and bottom of the can before mounting.)



Srew in a hook in the top and wire or chain for hanging.



Paint the birdhouse however you want. Be creative.
