hanger crafts

As odd as it seems I have scores of wire hangers to use in crafts...
My DH has uniform service and they do not take back all the hangers and he has a huge pile at work and I am to the point that even with three kids and family that constantly buys them clothes that I do not need any more at all.... So I am thinkin that I will use them for crafts but need several ideas so that I am not making hundreds of the same items.....

You could also make ribbon wrapped hangers--they make great gifts (in fact, those folk who travel in their trailers, or caravans for those in England, it's a really nice gift); they're all my mother ever wants as she says they reduce how wrinkled her clothes get!



Instructions ( I had to get hold of my girlfriend who is a Girl Guide leader for these):

you'll need: 2 large balls of soft nylon (found in sewing and notions section especially at Walmart) in 2 colours

wire hangers



Take 2 long pieces (one of each colour) of the nylon and connect them where they fold in half--do not tie them, just link them together. Hook the connection over the hook of the hanger; you now have 4 strands.Pass the strands over one another, working your way around the hanger. You can finish off with a bow
