| I have thousands of can lids I have come up with a few of my own ideas. Depending on how many you have.
Put pictures on them and make wind chimes. We did this in cub scouts for mothers day last year. They do sound good.
coasters. add pictures and put on a water proof clear coat.
Checkers. I had an old card table I painted with red and black squares. and then painted the lids red and black, paint them so they look like checkers and can flip them over.
Paint pictures of veggies or herbs and add them to a straightened wire coat hanger and put them in your garden or in the pot. what have you, for markers..
I also have used them for games like tic tack toe. mark off the area on the floor and have the kids stand back and "frisbee" them to get them in the box.
Color Matching Game. cover a number of juice lids, both sides with different colored solid contact paper. cover a container with a lid such as pringles, oatmeal, coffee can with no sharp edges, ect. with the same solid contact. cut a slit in the cover for lids to fit through. The kids put the color juice lid in the matching color container.
Counting Game. take 20 juice lids and cut out paper/cardstock to fit them. on 10 of them write numbers 1-10. On the other ten make dots, corresponding to those numbers. kids pick one and count the dots and then try to match it to with the correct numeral. |
