Default Baked Ziti
Old 08-18-2008, 05:34 PM   #1 (permalink)

Well here is my own recipe for Baked Ziti. Nothing fancy or anything.

What you need:

Half pound of hamburger
1 jar of spagetti sauce (I used Ragu Rebusto Sauteed Onions and Garlic)
Ziti Noodles
Mexican Style Cheese ( basically a colby/ mozarella mix)

To make:

1: Boil the hamburger till it is completely cooked through. Drain your hamburger very well.

2: Put hamburger back in the sauce pan and add your spagetti sauce. Turn the heat to about 3 on the dial. Let it simmer

3: Boil the water for your pasta

4: Add the pasta to the boiling water. I had a med. sized box of Ziti noodles and used about half of it. Boil the pasta to taste.

5: Turn the oven onto 350F degrees.

6: Drain the pasta and get ready to assemble.

7: In a small glass baking dish pour you noodles in first. then dump the meat sauce onto the noodles. Spread it around to evenly coat the noodles. Put on the amount of cheese you like. I always cover my meat sauce with a layer of cheese about an inch thick.

8: Pop it in the over for 15 minutes and your done.
