Default Baked Noodles Casserole for Kids
Old 02-22-2008, 09:11 PM   #1 (permalink)

2-1/2 Cups Wide Noodles
2 eggs
3 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
Cook the noodles in boiling water with salt for 20 minutes.
Drain. Grease a baking dish. Stir the butter into the noodles and place in baking dish. Beat the eggs well. Add the milk to them and beat again. Pour this over the noodles in the baking dish. Place in a slow oven at 325 degrees and bake for 1/2 hour.
Here again, you may want to kick up the seasoning after cooking to your own taste. This is also very good when sprinkled with parmesan cheese before baking.

I am going to try this. My picky girls are so hard to cook for, but they approve of all of these ingredients!

You're both very welcome! It's also good with chopped cooked chicken.
Hugs, Paula

Growing Up My Mom Always Took The Left Over Cooked Soup Noodles And We Added Them To The Skillet As We Were Making Scrambled Eggs. Just Put Some Oleo/ Butter In A Skillet And Start To Scramble You Eggs, Toss In A Handful Of Cooked Noodles And Cook Eggs Till Done. I Still Do This Today. We Used The Thin Soup Noodles. It Is Delicious. My Mom Never Added Her Noodles To The Soup. We Just Ladled Broth Into A Bowl And Added Our Own Noodles. So If There Were Any Left Over We Always Made Scrambled Eggs And Noodles. You Can Also Throw In Some Broken Up Pieces Of Cheese Or Sprinkle With Parmesan.
