Default Knitting needle conversion chart
Old 07-04-2007, 06:01 PM   #1 (permalink)

Have you found a pattern you'd love to make, only to find that it calls for needles in Metric, and you use US size needles... or vice versa? Here's a chart to help you figure out if you have the correct needles for the job. It lists needle sizes for Metric (mm), US, and UK/Canadian needle interchanges.

Conversion charts are good to have. I keep one in my knitting bag. Most of my needles are from UK or are metric from Canada. I find most patterns list USA sizes so I'm always checking my chart. Thanks for the link.

LOL! I think the irony is.... most of the patterns I find here in the US use Metric needles . What's up with that?

Maybe it is what we aren't familiar with that sticks out the most. I'm also finding a lot of patterns list in all 3 now, which is really helpful.

Thanks for the compliment on the Dale Jr car. I made it myself. Graphics is another hobby of mine I like to play with every now and then.

I can't wait to see Jr's car next year, since he's not driving the Bud car anymore. I'll have to see if I can find one and glitter it up too, so I won't be outdated.
