| I noticed this at my Walmart also. Hobby Lobby still sells it though if you have one nearby. The craft section at our Walmart has increased for scrapbooking though. The crochet thread has shrunk too but the yarn is till pretty filled in.

| Our Wal-Mart was supposed to be getting rid of its craft department. They were supposed to be putting in a Party Center in it's place. However, I don't think it is going to happen. Nothing has changed except the Scrapbooking. It's gotten bigger here too. I hope it doesn't happen but if it does we have a Hobby Lobby, AC Moore and Michaels all within 5 miles of each other. Just the prices are higher.

| Isn't that just crazy~getting rid of the crafting department! What are they thinking! I'm not much into cross stitching but I did notice that the stuff was missing on the regular aisle. And now that you mention it was replaced with scrapbooking stuff. (not into that either) They better just leave the yarn alone! :smackthem: mgf~ :high5: | | | | | Moderator Level up: 15%, 67 Points needed |

| I took a look, and sure enough, all the crossstitch stuff is gone. I guess I'll have to see if the quilt shop will carry a few things. I have to drive about an hour to get to the next place. Maybe it's time to start a little in home sale thing myself. | | | | | Moderator Level up: 30%, 11 Points needed |

| Our closest Walmart is 3.5 hours from us but they are still selling cross stitch items...I have noticed that they do not have much of a selection for Acrylic Paints any more...hmmm might have to go in the opposite direction to get paints and cross stitch items... | | | | | Moderator Level up: 13%, 90 Points needed |

| Well, it seems I'm wrong once more! Went to Super Wal-Mart last night and lo and behold.......they are getting rid of the fabric! Hubby said that if they were making money at it, they would keep it. I almost smacked him! Fabric is so expensive at Joanns that I really relied on Wal-Mart. Oh well.....gues that WalMart has one more strike against it for me!

| I was looking at some old emails I got from Herrschners and at Christmas time they had 36 skeins of floss for 4.99 or 130 skeins for 14.97. I am not sure these prices are still valid but someone might want to look at their online catalog for this week and check it out. FYI
