Paypal Question ~

Does anyone have a paypal account without using your credit card number?

If so how do you find this works for your online sales?



How does the charges work ~ ie: if you are sent a payment what percentage if any does paypal get ~



I couldn't find the answers on the paypal site~~

I didn't notice this question before now. I will ask Patricia to come in and answer since that is how she started her paypal. But, I know that she ended up accepting credit cards

I can help a little.....if you don't take CC's there's no charge....but you need to state in your auctions that you take paypal but not CC paypal payments. Most people now a days have access to make payments either way, CC, bank acct. or existing funds. I do. Before I took CC's I got messages from paypal stating that someone made a CC payment and asked if I wanted to accept that form or payment. I finally ended up doing it only because it was just easier.



If you take CC's then there's a charge for each payment made. I can't remember right off hand what precentage it is...that info would probably be on their website.

Thanks cupcake and slide, these are just going to be cash payments from direct (bulk) sales I won't be selling at auctions or ebay ~

Just something easier for my customers and cheaper than money international orders ~

I flet bullie into taking the CC paypal, but I may go back to none!! I haven't decided yet!! I didn't know to put in my description about the CC's!!LOL!! Live and learn!!



I'm also not sure of the charge!! Just as and I'm sure they would be happy to tell you!! I know it made my slaes easier when I did go one instead of getting those days requests!!



My only negative feed back was on this very subject!! I changed my Paypal to accomidate her, but she decided on her own that the sale was null and void which you can't do!!



Anyway!! I'll be starting back up next week with my sales again as I took the summer off!! I'm not a very good book keeper, so as long as the money was coming in I was Happy!!

Thanks Patricia ~ I don't want to bother with the credit card thing as I said this will be for large orders and would just make it quicker and easier for the customer and for me when they pay me LOL



I costs about 10.00 for them to send an international money order and then I get charged as well to cash it ~~~





I won't be selling on ebay I have no time LOL
