Lightbulb Kitchen Cabinet ideas?????
Old 08-19-2007, 02:15 AM   #1 (permalink)

I am wanting to fix up my kitchen and have been toying with the idea of removing all of the cabinet faces on the upper cabinets and replace them with a curtain on a small tension rod.........

Has anyone done or heard of this??

I'm wanting to go with something different and this sounds really neat! (to me)

Anyone have input???

I had some old costume jewelry and glued to the existing handles. Just make sure you use some really good glue. Also I have thought about using the pictures out of calenders and decoupaging them on the doors. I really like all the bling that I got from putting the jewelry on the handles.
I hope this helps

i had wanted the curtain on my cabinets but i decided to do just one first to see what i thought, so i covered one set of cabinets and i NEVER will do it again...ya know how sometime you rely on the door just staying open when you are trying to use both hands...well that dont happen with cloth unless you clip the cloth up,,,it changed my mind...i finally just sanded them down, new coat of paint new hardware and boom...i had newused(new to me but used) cabinets....just a thought hope it helps

the cute curtain idea is pretty, but i would not do that for myself. what about leaving the cabinets without the doors, just have the frame. or have the glass and decorate it, put frosted film on it:
Amazing Home Decorating. Kitchen Window Makeover.

new hardware definitely helps, it makes everything pretty.

We put small molding in a rectangle shape on our cabinet doors. That really dressed them up. We also put new hardware on and painted the whole kitchen. I love the outcome.
