Door Decor

Hello! [img]images/smiley_icons/wavey.gif[/img] I have a very brightly colored room. The carpet is pink and white and the wall paper is a pink and white stripes. I really like the colors, but I'm not particularly fond of the solid brown (plain) door. Any ideas on how I can make it less gloomy? Thanks!

How about just adding a lovely wreath or swag to the door!!

Have the ribbons long and almost to the floor!!

If your door matches your trim, I wouldn't change the door itself, just add something too it!! If your trim is white I would paint the door white too!! Just a couple ideas!

Another way to minimize the brown in the door is to use mirror tiles--they come in 8x8, 10x10, 12x12, and some even bigger. They are peel-n-stick, so be sure the surface you are going to put them on is free of dust or oil. Choose any geometeric design that you like and stick them up. They can also be cut to any shape or size--the reflection in them is not as true as a real mirror but it will give more light and deep in the room and reflect the colors that are already there.

You should be able to find them at any major tile or hardware outlet.
