Default Make money from a de cluttered home
Old 01-20-2009, 09:14 AM   #1 (permalink)

One way I have found to make money while cleaning my home is the local peddlers mall. For those who don't know what a peddlers mall is let me explain. It is a big store usually an old Walmart that has been divided into a bunch of small booths that are rented out by the month to regular folks like us. Sometimes they are called fleamalls. The booths in my local mall are 10 foot by 10 foot. They cost $100.00 per month. The great thing about these malls are they are open 7 days a week. You can sell your stuff, you don't have to be there and you get a check every month. They handle the sales and tax collecting for you. You set your own prices.
I rent 2 booths at the local peddlers mall. I can put all the things that I want to get rid of in the booth and make money while cleaning my house. I find this is better than holding on the the junk waiting for the yard sale season. This is also a good place to sell your crafts. We all have friends and family that have lots of things they want to get rid of. They can help you fill your booth and make more money. Most people will give you their old junk. Or you can sell it and split the profit with them. You can go in on a booth with a friend and split the costs.

Well, got to go take more junk to my booth...

That's actually a great idea, thanks for the suggestion! I go to these things myself regularly to see whether there is any nice stuff but I never thought of selling my own well I guess I shall try and declutter my place (needs to be spring cleaned anyway) and then see what I can sell
Thanks a lot!
