Do you have an item that was made for 1 purpose only you use it for another?? Tell us about it.

A friend of mine uses bead organizers (clear plastic organizers you get in the craft store that has different compartments )for sorting her jewelry.

You can use a weekly pill box to sort earrings.

Both of the above ideas work great for packing jewelry while traveling.

You can use sheets of plastic canvas to organize your earrings.

I buy alot of curling ribbon and I noticed that the plastic ends come off. I glue the bottom one in place. I cover the tube with batting and fabric. I also cover the top with batting and fabric and a button or charm to pull the lid off. These make great jewelery boxes or keepsake boxes.

Hi MyGirlFriday, I am jewelry freaky and love to wear a lot of them during occasions. To carry it conveniently, I took a cigar box from one of my friend's shop and decorated it with my personal preferences and it looks great for me. It saves from unnecessary headaches keeping the jewelry's in a pretty safe place and it is very portable to carry with me. Anyone using similar ideas to carry jewelry?
