| | Craft Supplies Storage ideas wanted |

| We will soon be moving to a new home with more limited space for my craft supplies storage. Right now, I have to admit my supplies are pretty helter-skelter. I've decided to organize them by the type of craft (i.e. woodworking, painting, needlecraft, etc), and I was just trying to see if any of you have some great ideas for storing supplies so they don't take up a lot of room, but they're easy to find and get to. | | | | | Junior Member Level up: 14%, 149 Points needed |

| Tackle boxes are great! So are shoe box's and plastic 'shoe box' containers. Use a bookcase and store the containers on the shelves. My bookcase w/ craft items is on top of my dresser. | | | | | Moderator Level up: 33%, 262 Points needed |

| Those rolling plastic 3 drawer cabinets work good you can remove the wheels and stack them. Also old dresser drawers can be hung on the wall for easy shelves. Just make sure you hit a stud. | | | | | Member Level up: 12%, 66 Points needed |

| I posted about using the hanging shoe organizers for corralling your winter accessories but I also use the clear vinyl ones to separate all of my small craft supplies. I can easily see everything at a glance and it takes up very little room! | | | | | Junior Member Level up: 2%, 2 Points needed |

| Hi,
Plastic shoe boxes do have many uses. As far as shopping in the UK is concerned the cheapest place for clear shoe boxes is TheShoeLounge.co.uk | | | | | Junior Member Level up: 3%, 22 Points needed |

| Something my grandfather used to do is get some old jars and metal lids (ie canning jars, jelly jars, majo jars, etc).
He would then screw or nail the lid to the underneath of a shelf, or sometimes the roof (if it was low enough, like in a shed). Then just screw the jar onto its lid.
Viola, hanging organizers! You will never loose the lid and alway know what is inside. The plus? You are also recycling!
I also reused my kids' toy organizers. Like alot of people now adays, I am strapped for extra money. My kids got rid of enough toys they no longer needed those bin organizers with the wooden shelf. I used them for a base to place a counter top on to work on for my crafts. But you I imagine you could also hang them on a wall, just make sure it won't fall! :) | | | | |
