Default DAY 15: Book & Magazine Management
Old 01-16-2007, 01:32 AM   #1 (permalink)

\If you are like me you enjoy reading a good magazine. For some reason I really think I need to read them!! I have a few subscriptions to some of my favorites but the other that I read I get from friends and co~workers.

At our office we have a special shelf where you can put your used magazines and books. People bring their materials and put them where other people can take what they would like.

See if you couldn't set up something like this where you work!

I friend that sits close to me likes to read magazines too and she has subscriptions for ones that I enjoy flipping through. She routinely brings them in so that people can red them. We just pass them around. Share your magazines!

Don't allow no longer needed magazines and books to clutter your life!!

If you don't have a place like these call your local Dr.s office, the local bus station or hospitals to see if the will accept donated magazines. Remember to cut your name off the cover if they are ones that you sebscribe to.

As for the books, you can take them to a paperback exchange to trade for other books (if you enjoy reading) or check out the Book Nook Board for a book exchange too!

Just a few ideas to help take care of books & magazines!

One thing that I have been doing! I mentioned to one person that I wasned a FEW magazines for Slidette to cut out the photos (I almost never buy magazines, and the only one I get - for free- is a recipe magazine) I got too many! so I go through them looking first if it is a good magazine for photos, next if there is any interesting articles / recipes (if so, I yank them out) then I put the magazine to recycle. some of these date back to the 80's so the only one who might want them is a doctor's office

I also specificaly kept aside magazines of interest to other friends
