Default DAY 7: Handy Drawer/Storage Container
Old 01-08-2007, 02:45 AM   #1 (permalink)

Are there are things that you use OFTEN that sometimes you have to go hunting for???

We have many pair of scissors in our home but it never fails that I need one and I can't find them~ANYwhere. I spend time looking for the scissors! This is a waste of time!

Why not have those items in one place??? This way they are easy to locate and you know were to return them too as well~(or if you are using the Storage container you can just take the container with you and when you are finished return the container to its "home".

There are things that I think should be handy at all times~

scissors, small nails, a hammer, glue, tape, screwdrivers (flat and Phillips head) and push pins to name a few!

What is in your Handy Drawer/Storage Bin???

mgf~

What's in MY handydrawer? Lots of clutter... old sautering irons that have no tips/burned up tips. Tiny screws, odd lots of screws. More of DH's cb junk that he'll never use. Can I dispose of any of the above? Only when fire and brimstone hail upon the earth.

Various cords to my cooking appliances, and my assortment of cookie/biscuit cutters, and a few wooden spoons.

[b]We both have our own junk drawers! Then we have one community junk drawer!

In mine I have rubber stamps, bubbles, pens, candles, and just plain junk!

The shared junk drawer has owners manuals, batteries (not all good! Ray likes to put them back after being used, so unless it's still in the package you don't know if you are getting a good one), there are markers that were confiscated from the boys etc

I have 3 junk drawers! All have misc. batteries, some good, some not good, can't tell which is which. Recharging cords to lots of things, not sure what they all go to or if we still have it. various nails and screws, pens, some work some don't. A hammer, too small for anyone (male) to want to actually be seen using. That's why it's still in the drawer. Various 2 way radios. Most missing at least 1 battery, and some missing the battery covers. I don't think there is a matching pair though. Oh there's so much more, too much to actually list or even want to think about.

As for my scissors.............

They are all (5 pair) in my Pampered Chef Tool Turnabout on my counter! I go ballistic if someone doesn't put them back after using them!
