Default Question for scrapbookers and cardmakers!
Old 08-03-2009, 01:50 PM   #1 (permalink)

What is the best permanent glue that you have found to use for your projects? The gluesticks I've used either dry out too fast, don't stick well or there's just not enough in the container. The wet glues often leave wet stains. Just wondering what you others use that don't do any of the above!

I used glue sticks but now I use glue dots when I am making cards...you can get the clear glue dots or the white ones and now they come in black too and they come in different sizes or I use double sided tape...

Smiles & Hugs...

Default Best Glue Depends on the Craft Project
Old 08-04-2009, 05:14 AM   #3 (permalink)

Actually, there is no single best answer, as it all depends on the project and the exact materials you are using.

Since the topic of GLUE is so super important for all crafters, quite some time ago, I posted an article on my blog that hopefully will answer all Glue questions:

'Which Glue to Use for The Job",
Which Glue To Use For The Job
discusses the pro/con's and 'how to use' details of plain household glue, PVA, contact cement glue, acid free glue, epoxy resin and other glues.

I hope this helps and let me know if you have further questions.
Here to help.

I guess I got used to using "YES" paste making books and I like it. It is really thick which is great for making boxes and I just mix it with some water for gluing paper etc.

I get it at Michaels or Joanns(cant remember which). It's around $10.00 for a container but it goes a long way, especially when you thin it with water. acid free and all that good stuff.

Yes! Paste All-Purpose Stick Flat Glue : Glues : Adhesives : Scrapbooking | Joann.com
