This is the green styrofoam from Michaels. Maybe it's different then the white?? It's 12" wide & about 4" deep & 36" long.

The last time I cut styrofoam I used a bread knife. Another time I used a butcher knife. Worked for me. Electric knives are good foam but chatter the styroform.

Thanks for all the ideas ladies. Joe has tried them & found it will take awhile for sure.
We had checked out the eHow site too. We really don't want to go to the expense of the wire tool they talk about for a one time project.
