| The body of the robot was a box girl scout cookies came in, the head was a small pizza box we painted using craft paint, the round eyes are 32oz cup lids from mcdonalds with a 2 liter bottle top painted blue and put in the center of them. The nose and colored buttons on the body are also 2 liter bottle tops painted in different colors. The mouth is a strip cut from a mcdonalds 32oz cup. The arms are mcdonalds 32oz cups, with 2 straws cut in half to make 4 pieces 2 for each arm to look like fingers. The legs are 2 liter bottles with some very small craft rocks in them to stablize them. the ears are a mac & cheese box cut to size, and the atennas are straws. All put together with clear packing tape. It was fun to do, and when we took it to school this morning all the kids were having a fit over it. Each child had to make one and they will be judged tomorrow. One child we passed in the hallway going to my sons class said "Now that's recycling" I couldn't help but laugh. | | | | | Moderator Level up: 21%, 155 Points needed |

| That turned out so very cute! Thank you for sharing it. Congratulations to your son, even if he doesn't win a prize he has already won, look at the quality time he has spent with mom, and the lessons he has learned. FANTASTIC!!! Let us know how he does. | | | | | Moderator Level up: 33%, 183 Points needed |

| Thanks for the comments ladies. My son did win 1st place in his class! He recieved a blue ribbon with 1st place on it, and a prize that he got to pick out. What a proud little 6 year old he is. His teacher wants to keep the robot in class for another week or so then we get to bring it home. My son has already said that he is keeping him. And now everytime I go to throw something away in the trash, he says, "Mom we can recycle that" I just smile and laugh. Once again thanks for your help & your comments. | | | | |
