Each Halloween I make my little people eyeballs out of "Malteaser" chocolates (you can now buy them made with white chocolate too, which are fantastic). Here's what you do ....
You need:
1 bag of white chocolate maltesers
red royal icing, in a piping bag
black royal icing (or some of the commercially available writing icing, in black)
using the red icing, fill in a circle (about the size of a penny piece) on each malteaser - this represents the iris
when dry, make a little black dot in the centre of the red icing, to represent the pupil.
you then have spooky red eyeballs!
you can also use green icing for this.
if you are using standard milk chocolate malteasers, use white icing instead of red or green.
these look great piled up high in a big glass bowl!
the only problem is to stop yourself from sampling them as you make them! have fun!!! |
