Weigh In

Group Created by created2

I would love to have everyone who wants to join me in keeping track of our weight loss. There are some nice sites out there I can use but would rather have others support. I use to go to Tops, but I just can't afford the gas to go there anymore. I know I could join Weight Watchers online, but I would really like to try it this way. How about you?

I have been feeling better, so I got on the scale this morning. I weighed 191.5. Please how are you all doing? I haven't heard from any of you. I hope and pray you are ok. I know you can lose what you need to lose.

I was even more pleasantly surprised when I got on the scales and weighed 184.5 on saturday. However, I got on the scales again today and I weighed 195. I don't understand. I haven't been eating a lot. I have been sick and should have lost.

Hope everyone is doing well. I am going to weigh myself tomorrow, and I will come in and report. I have a friend that has cystic fibrosis and she is overweight. I was watching a show the other day and the lady in the show had cystic fibrosis. She was not overweight. But she was showing how she had to eat lots of vegetables because of her condition. I wish I could get myself to eat more vegetables, but I just can't. I have a terrible time with anything with salt. I have gone to the movies and eaten a whole bag of popcorn by myself (not the small bags). However, when I weighed that week, I had not gained any weight. I know everyone has to find their own way to weight loss. What works for one person does not work for another. God bless you all.

First tip - How fast do you eat? Pay attention. Count your chews. You may find you are eating faster than you should. Slow down and enjoy the food.

I understand that. I am not disabled but I did injure my knee some years back. I also injured my neck and my back. My knee was smashed enough that when it started to heal I could feel one little piece in the middle of the kneecap that I could move around. I was unable to bend my knee for several weeks. But I am able to walk just fine now. I injured my neck and I believe my back when I was delivering newspapers in the snow. I fell and when I got up I couldn't move my neck. I ended up in physical therapy for a few weeks. After I was better I found that if I was walking down a hill and stepped too hard, the next day I wouldn't be able to move my neck. In addition if I was talking to a doctor and the nurse was taking my blood pressure she could not do it until I turned to talk to her. I have some nerve that is pinched. But I praise God because yes there are mornings my back hurts like crazy until I've moved around for a while, but I don't suffer every hour of every day, and I am able to walk.

Ok, I'm with you on this one. I'm a disabled veteran and haven't been able to work out in a very long time. I've had 5 knee surgeries since 1995 and a bad back. The way I've lost weight in the past was to exercise, but my body isn't quite the same as it was before knee surgeries. Walking is even a problem, but I do some with my dog. I figure if I walk a little each day, my knee might get stronger. But losing weight is the biggest issue right now. I don't feel healthy.
