Hi, everyone! I thought I'd check in. Anyone working on anything lately? I started crocheting a poncho for DD that is made up of two panels. So far I have one done. I'll try to post it when it's completely done. She picked out a pale blue color in the Baby soft yarn. It's coming out good so far.-Teresa:)

    Hi!
My name is Jen and I just joined the group this evening. I do a little knitting, but I enjoy crocheting much more. I also have done some cross stitch and crewel embroidery. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you better in the near future!

    Hi everyone

I've been looking at your pictures, what a talented group you are!!
My passions are cross stitch, ribbon embroidery and embellished crazy patch. I love it when I can work all of them into a project. I hope to get to know all of you over the next few weeks.

I finally have something done to share. I just added to my album a bag I crocheted together with pull tabs. I hope all of you are doing well.

Hi Everyone... What a great list of pictures and crafts... I live in Maine.. born and brought up in Bar Harbor , Moved to Florida with husbby and kids and lived there until they were grown and out on their own then hubby and I headed back to Maine. Be it ever so humble. But your husband is right Randi it tends to get a we bit chilly here. Although, nothing like what I remember growing up here. I like doing most all needlework.. except cross stitch. I have a deep appreciation for those that do. I crochet but, no knitting .. I have four left hands .. ;)

LOL. Yeah i had to hear those when I was a kid stories. In 94 a ice strom struck TN and we lost power for 3 days. Talk about frezzing. all we had was our sweats and blankets. I don't know how man games of monopoly my dad played with me and my brother. Or the game Life. Yeah doing my homework that was was interesting. But it did the trick. Sorry I didn't get back right away. I have been pre occupied with my letter blocks for 4 days!!!!!!!!

That would not be fun without AC. What a way to do homework. In Iowa we would have power outages in the winter from the ice storms. No power no heat. It was gather the kids in the living room and build a fire in the fire place, break out all the blankets(to this day I make sure my houses have fireplaces in them). They were younger then, not much complaining. Boy let the power go out now though and its i'm bored, there's nothing to do, so on and so on. They can not live without their electronics. I try to tell them to imagine when I was a kid or my mother was a kid and go all the way back to my great grandmother when we did not have all those electronics. They tell me they would go mad. Ah kids today.

I don't remember maine. I was born there and left when I was 1 1/2. have never been back. My parents were stationed there. I'v only been to mt pleasant, winfield and Iowa City. Last one to hit us was Isabel. That way not fun. over 100 degrees and 100% humidity at night and no AC cause our pwoer was knocked out for 3 days. I had a report due too. So my mom got little karocene lamps and told me to do my report that way. I had to do it at night cause we were busy cleaning up durring the day.

Yeah Fay is nasty. We have been raining for 3 days now. It is really causing problems between our power and our internet. They keep going out. I have lived in several places in Iowa as well. Davenport mostly but have also lived in several little towns in Southern Ia. Wow Maine, I have always wanted to go to Maine. Tried to talk the hubby into moving there several years ago with his job. He said to cold. Judifinez that is some really nice work you do. I love that shell, it is beautiful.
