Hi all, further adventures of my 3-legged kitty. We had a terrific rain storm and he for some reason didn't get out of the rain. I know he can can around, I've seen him move. But when I went outside I saw him - he looked like a drowned rat! So I wrapped him in a towel and put him in the garage where he snuggled down and took a nap. He dried off and is running and playing outside again.

I live in the country so all my cats are outside but love them all. I have many cats but right now my 3-legged kitty takes a big piece of my heart. He was born with only 3 legs but can run and jump and play fight with his brothers and sisters.

I know I have not been here in a very long time but I would like some information about how anyone has dealt with having a cat that is diabetic and you are giving them shots! I just found out my 10 yr old precious "baby" Tom needs these shots twice daily. I am doing okay with that but I have been so saddened with as to why this has happened. I knew he was well over weight when I got him 5 yrs ago and at 35 lbs...we got him down to 27 and then one yr ago, vet said needed to lose at least another 15 lbs...well then I noticed he was losing it way too fast just within a months time...that's when I took him back and got this news. I just feel so bad b/c why didn't I notice some kind of signs to have helped him b 4 this happened! He is just the most precious and loving cat you would ever meet! Please anyone out there, give me your views. TIA

Our household has been blessed by being chosen as their home by 3 cats. These cats all chose us--choosing to live with us over their previous people. One came to us from our barn, "Grey Kitty" is 14 years old and is the absolute boss. "Attitude" is an elderly Siamese that moved from next door to our house several years ago....his name says it all. When the neighbors moved they said "keep him"! As they did with #3, "Little Bit" is a Calico lady. She is very loving, but independent. These neighbors were not neglectful, they were just not cat people and as we all know a cat knows who loves them and who doesn't. We also have 2 dogs and they are "cat lovers" too. They are absolutely all buddies and sleep and eat together.
Grey Kitty is the boss, greeter for guests and keeps us all in line.
As I stated before, we are certainly blessed to have been chosen to be their "people" by these 3 wonderful cats.

My friend lives on a farm in a rural area and she has had so many people drop off cats .She has about 16. Some stay in the barn ,a few are housecats. She has them fixed and gets them shots.

Hi everyone, it is nice to see a group like this. I have 5 feline furbabies that I have rescued. They range in ages from 3 years to 7 months old. Living in a rural area, there are many animals that people "drop off" out in the country for whatever reasons, and it infuriates me that they do this. But I love all my babies because they are so special to me.

I get so sad when I see people letting their cats run loose to get into fights, almost getting hit by cars etc. I know cats love to prowl at night, but so many of them come home with ears bitten off, eyes scratched, sometimes really bad infected bite marks. I love all animals and this really upsets me. I also feed a lot of hungry crying cats. They gobble the food up like they haven't eaten in a week.

Welcome Brigitte...I had cats that were 16 and 19. They are gone now and I still miss them, but my 3 meazers and my grey tabby fill my heart with all their love. They are so affectionate. They just make my day. Mopzsix, I would have more if my husband would let me. My cousin had 16, one died. When I go to visit, 15 is just too much for me and I really love cats. She has cats everywhere.
