    Hello everyone,
I am a mom of 2 girls ages 11 and 6. We love doing and trying new crafts together.
My 11 yearold made blankets for the humane society for her GS badge.
    I loved working with her.
My 6 year old learned she loves beads. We made her Nana a chain for her glasses.

Hello. I would like to join this group. I have an 18 month old grandson, and I babysit for him M-F while his parents work. I'm always looking forward to activities and crafts that we can do together. --Pam

Here's a site with lots of free craft ideas for kids that are cheap & entertaining. With 5 little guys to keep entertained & busy I love that these use household items & don't cost a lot of money.

I LOVED making these when I was younger. It kept me busy when I was supposed to be quiet. I think that's why my mom taught me how. :)

After making them I would fill them either with paper hearts or little gifts for other people.

Here’s a cure for cabin fever for you and your kids. I learned this recipe 15 years ago when I worked at a preschool. I still think this is the coolest stuff!

    Homemade Silly Putty:
Combine 1 part Liquid Starch to 2 parts Elmer’s Glue in a bowl. At first you'll think you did something wrong because the two ingredients don't seem to want to come together. Don't give up, keep mixing! Use your hands if you have to. Pretty soon you'll get a wonderful, gooey, white and shiny substance. Your kids will love it! Set them up at the kitchen table. You don't want this putty to get on any carpets because it sticks. If your kids get this on their clothes, no problem, it washes out.

Give your kids a pair of kid-scissors and let them cut the putty into small pieces. Your kids will spend hours cutting their putty snakes into little pieces, smushing them all together, and starting all over again.

You can find liquid starch in most grocery stores in the detergent aisle or at Walmart. Any brand will do. Store your silly putty in a ziploc baggie in the fridge. It will last indefinitely.

Hi Everyone! I just added all new projects to my website www.artsymommy.com. This month I have 4 instructional videos to go along with my projects.

I want to hear from all of you. I have tons of ideas, so ask me anything. I have been creating children's crafts for years. If you're like me, you're tired of the same old kid's art projects and are craving some new ideas.

So, what kinds of things do you and your child like to do together?
