tatting

does anyone here tat. they say it is a dying art but it is making a comeback. looking for other tatters

I did for years, stil do it once in a while but do mostly other crafts now. Sometimes I watch patterns and think about starting again but time .....

Oh my gosh! You must have read my mind!!!! I was going to ask tthe same thing since there are very few tatters in my area. I love tatting. It is such a portable craft. I carry a small box in my purse with a couple tatting shuttles, thread, a small pair of scissors and I copy a couple of patterns so I can fold them into the little box. I also do bobbin lace. Do you happen to enjoy that craft (art). It is also a dying art.

I started to tat for I had to commute by train 2 x 50 min every day and tatting was easely to take with me. And because I stil had to find a teacher in making bobbin lance back then, I already had a cushion and bobbins. Now I do bobbin lace as well
