Book Binding

Hello all,

Just wondering if there is anyone out there that does any book binding or box making. I am fairly new to this craft but am having the time of my life making photo albumns, cook books, journals, jewelry boxes etc for my friends and family. I am going to start trying my hand at making and binding signature pages after the first of the year when things settle down a bit. Any book binders give me a shout! Would love to get some info from experienced binders and introduce newbies to a great fun craft.

Thanks for the website. It looks very interesting and looks like it will have lost of useful information. I gave all of my books away for christmas but amd staring on some more soon. I will try to post some pictures so you can have a look see at what I am doing. I am lovin it!

I posted a picture of a couple of my first attempts in photo share. My picture files were to big and I haven't figured out how to fix that as yet, but I am working on it. Hope you like them. I have since done wedding albumns, photo albumns and journals. I did not take pictures of those, having a senior moment I guess!

I am just getting into bookbinding. It's so wonderful. Can do so many things with it. I have used scroll saw cut-outs, Bark from my gum tree, sticks, fabrics, just to mention a few things.

Where can I see some of your books?

Here is a picture of one of mine. The covers are made with scrap timber. The decoration is a mat made with sticks that came from Bali. Some of the beads are had rolled paper beads.

That is an awesome book. There are a couple of pictures of the cookbooks I make (blank pages for writing down all the recipies on those little pieces of paper I always lose). I make journals, wedding albums, also make boxes. I am doing covers for address books right now (Christmas presents). I absolutely love it. I have pruchased the supplies to start making my own signatures etc but I have not had time to start yet.
