How do you leave a visitor message on your friends profiles? I just can't figure it out. I can leave user notes though.

If they don't have visitor messages enabled, you won't be able to. (Like you leanna, I don't think you have yours enabled )
To enable visitor messages go to User CP, click on edit options, then scroll down til you see a "box" that says visitor messages, in the Messaging and Notification header, and tick Enable Visitor Messaging!
