| I attended a Garden Club meeting in Jefferson/Oak Ridge, NJ back in 1970 and learned how to use alum (purchased at the drug store) and very hot water in a metal bucket to make ice storm arrangements of roadside fronds and Queen Annes Lace etc.
When completed and hung up to dry the resembled ice coated tree branches after an ice storm.
I am now disabled somewhat from a stroke but still can do some crafts. Does anyone know the proportions of alum to water and how hot the water must be to duplicate this wonderful craft??? I have checked our library anmd can find nothing. Thanks so much for any help.
