| Hi,
I have "the Complete Book of Dollmaking", by Pamela Peake-(worth every penny!), and she gives instructions for making faces in wool felt.
If wool felt is not to be found, says to back it with iron-on interfacing.
Clean your form, cover with "Vaseline"or liquid detergent, mold soap-,cover with buckram soaked in hot water, work into all the features of the mold, let dry, cover with glue, cover with felt, stockinette, thin cotton- fabric of choice.
Further strengthen mask by adding more layers of fabric, or papier mache. Hope this helps- recommend the book! |
