| I haven\'t got a picture to show you, but the instructions for this mop doll are fairly simple and would suit the girl scouts.
Take a mop head and remove any metal bits. Layout the strands and tie in the centre of the row. Fold the entire mop hand down, with the piece you just tied to the sides.
Make a head by tied another piece of string around all the mop strands.
Now, take a number of strands from the left for the left arm and set aside. Do the same for the right side. Take the middle set of strands and make a bodice by tying another piece of string below the head.
Take the strands on the left, divide them equally and braid them to make one arm. Repeat on the right hand side. You can leave the arms dangling or tie them together in the front.
Smooth out the skirt and cut the strands into a V shape.
Add some hair (this can be yarn or store bought hair) and some eyes (store bought eyes, buttons or beads) and stitch a line to make lips.
Add ribbons, or a little apron to whatever to finish. They really are quite cute when finished.
If you need any more help on this, give me a shout![addsig] |
