Default Help... In need of some patterns
Old 10-15-2008, 08:57 AM   #1 (permalink)

I'm starting my tradition of making everyone their own Christmas Tree Ornament. I do this every year and it's usually the standard Christmas icons. But last night I was thinking about putting their favorite teams on their trees. Easier said then done. There are 10 Football teams I am looking for and I need help... I'll probably regret having this thought but if I can get the patterns then I can start on them.

The Teams I need:

Alabama Crimson Tide
West Virginia Mountaineers (WVU)
Ohio State Buckeyes
Dallas Cowboys
Oakland Raiders
Indianapolis Colts
Carolina Panthers
Washington Redskins
Pittsburgh Steelers
New Orleans Saints

They don't have to be big ones, just big enough for an ornament.
Thanks so much for your help.

Wow Barb. This could be a difficult task cos of copyright laws. You may have to design your own. How 'bout a football with the team name on it?
Good luck. I'll keep my eye open tho.

If you use the clear ornament balls (you can get them at Michael's or any craft store) you can paint the team on the ornament or do a decoupage from a piece of fabric or paper with the team logo on it. Just an idea.

Yeah, I know. It was just a thought, it wouldn't be me if it wasn't just out of reach. Wal-mart or the sports shop in town usually has the Team Logo Ornaments. I'll just buy the ornament and X-stitch Favorite things or something that has to do with that persons personality. You know I'll be back to ask for patterns. If anyone finds any logos, I would appreciate them but I've been looking most of the morning and have found nothing. Thanks Debi

2CraftyNana: That's a great idea, there's all kinds of clipart and pics out there that I can print out and do on a wooden disk. Thanks so much. Any ideas would be appreciated. That'll get me in the garage with the power tools. Look out Barb has had a brain fart...People beware....

Tashy: I found one similar of the Cowboys too, but those are too big, I love a challenge too, but I always go overboard with my visions. If you happen to find anything in the 3x3 or smaller range that would be great.
