PED-Basic for Machine Embroidery

I have just purchased my first sewing/embroidery machine. I also have the PED-Basic. I wondered if anyone out there could give me some info on how to download patterns from the net to use on my machine with this PED-Basic thing. How would you save a pattern to a floppy for later use instead of saving it on the computer? Any help appreciated.
