Stamped vs. Counted Cross Stitch

XStitcher: is working on new project--it´s a baby quilt that is stamped--she is avid cross-stitcher--but has done only counted cross stitch--she doesn´t like the look of the stamped pattern with the x´s being so far apart--any suggetions?

Megan: has only done 1 piece of stamped cross stitch and the instructions said to use 4 strands of floss--stamped cross stitch does not tend to be as fine as counted croess stitch so it is necessary to use a heavier thread so that the distance between the crosses are not as big.
