| Posting relevant comments on someone else's blog can be a good way to get more traffic back to your blog.
Of course, you'll need to include the link to your blog in the post.
And it goes without saying that you'd want to make the post have something to do with the original blog posting. Otherwise, it's spam, but the folks here know all about that. Just like you wouldn't post a message on this forum solely for the purpose of spamming to get your web site address out there, you wouldn't spam someone's blog.
But when it all boils down, your link on someone else's blog (or theirs on yours) won't do much to boost your site's popularity and traffic if there aren't many people coming by to visit that comment and see your link.
That's the key -- getting the traffic there to begin with.
Without traffic, no one is going to see the original blog and no one will see your comment sitting there on the original blog.
You might get a little trickle, but if your goal for your blog is for it to help you build a business, you'll need to take stronger measures. |
