| I can appreciate how terribly busy time is right now with Christmas racing in like a snowball down a mountain. I just wanted to let you know that the site does not let anyone sign the guest book as it is full at this time.
I have gone in a couple of times to look for a name of a soldier but haven't found it posted yet on the casualty list. A couple weeks ago on a terribly snowy night, a knock t our door proved to be three soldiers from Fort McCoy on notification detail. It seems the mother is incarcerated and the father seems to only be a name on his birth cert. They were trying anyone with the fathers name, which also is my husbands name as well but not his father. They seem to be checking anyone with the same name. I have felt a need to find out more about this young man. How sad to have given your life and have no one to mourn or be proud of the accomplishments along the way.
Back to the memorial, I think it is wonderful what you are doing. I am a member of our local American Legion Auxiliary, and would like to get the information to hopefully interest some of them in helping. Also, a young lady that went to our church on the other end of the parish is on your list and I would like to get Andrew's done to do one for her family.
Thanks, |
