Purple, Pink and White Rag Rug

Here is my newest round rag rug in purple, pink and white. It is 36" in diameter.

The rug is really pretty.

Very nice. Do you have instructions on how to make it? I would like to learn, but not sure where to find the instructions. I would like to find out how to make rugs out of bread wrappers.

Thank you for all the kind compliments. I love making rag rugs.
I don't have exact directions or a pattern. But, what I can share with you are the steps I used to make my rugs. I don't use pre-cut ribbon fabric. I use regular cotton fabric by the yard. Using a rotary cutter and mat, I cut the fabric into 2 inch strips. Then I tri-fold and sew the strips into long lengths. Once this is done I crochet the rug using a crochet hook. Usually a "J" or "K". If I'm not mistaken there are patterns you can buy on line to make these rugs.

I love the color, I remember my mother making rag rugs when I was a child. I should have paid more attention to how she made them.

That is so pretty! I tried to make one out of towels before. That is messy! Makes me want to try to make one. (and actually finish! )
