| This bead along is going to be an ornament / decoration.
Bead Along will start July 14th. (I'll try to remember to post each morning, if I cannot post another moderator will post that days instructions)
Supplies~
1 yard of thread
needle
wax -optional - wax helps keep your thread from tangling. It's not a fix all for thread tangling and knotting though!
2 different colors of seed beads. I will be using size 8 seed beads. I have made this pattern with size 11 and they turned out good too. You can use larger beads, but you will need a little more thread.
(Seed beads sizes - the larger the number the smaller the bead!)

| I am looking forward to this craftalong!! I have one question, what kind of thread? I have inherited a bunch of beading supplies from my mom and there is a variety of threads. Thanks!

| Any kind of beading thread will work. I use Nymo, but Walmart & Michaels sells little spools of regular beading thread in their beading isles. | | | | | Moderator Points: 22,403, Level: 65 | Level up: 66%, 397 Points needed |

| Wax your one yard (3 feet) of thread. Thread your needle onto it and tie the two ends into a knot.
String on 10 beads of color A.
Go back through all 10 beads starting with the first bead you put on.
After you go through all 10 beads it will form a circle.
Go through your first bead again so the knot is on one side and your needle is on the other.

| Thread on 1 bead of color A, then 1 bead of color B and then 1 more of color A. For a total of 3 beads.
Skip 1 bead on your circle (the second bead) and go through the next bead (the third bead.)
Repeat this pattern 4 more times and then run your needle up through the first two beads on the first point you made today.
If you have any questions feel free to ask!

| Thread on 2 beads of color A.
Thread on 1 bead of Color B.
Thread on 2 more beads of Color A. You should have a total of 5 beads on your thread.
Next you will go through the top of the next point which is a Color B bead.
Repeat this 4 more times.
When you get back to where you started today pass your needle up through the first 2 color A beads and the color B bead.

| Thread on 2 beads of color A.
Thread on 1 bead of color B.
Thread on 2 more beads of color A for a total of 5 beads.
Go through the color B bead of the next point. Repeat this 9 more times.
When you get to the last point pass your needle up through the first 3 beads of that point. It will come out of the color B bead on that point.
Then thread on 7-9 (I used 7) beads of color A.
Pass your needle through the color B bead on the next point. This turns out to be your hanger.
Next take your needle back through beads until you feel it is secure enough that it won't come out. After that you can just cut the thread or knot it then cut.
