Help with Voice over IP

AHHHHHH! I am at my end with my computer and all of these little black boxes sitting around her! I have been without a telephone for 10 days! If anyone out there has had problems with voice over IP, their router, and the high speed mondem, please oh please share your expeirence. Thank you from a new girl to the community! :confused:
