Norton

I have Norton GoBack......but I was wondering if it's the right thing. Does anyone know the difference bewteen GoBack and Norton AntiVirus? Do you think I should purchase the antivirus one too?

I got rid of my norton when it was time for renewel. I haven't heard of this new one GoBack. We took our computer in a couple of weeks ago and found out we had too much protection which was causing them to interfer with one another. We only have AVG, Ad-Aware and spybot now on the computer.



I will have to take a peek on the web site to see what it is all about also on Tuesday I could put a phone call into my buddy as see what he has learned about it. He is pretty up to date on these new anti virus things.

Well see when my renewal ran out I purchased this, I thought it was the same thing only a newer version. But it doesn't seem to be monitoring things correctly and it never runs once a week like my other one did.



I just hate to be without some kind of protection.....

If you are worried about protection until you figure everything out. Go to download.com and download AVG, it is easy to use and lets you know when you need to update, etc. It runs in the background all the time. Since downloading AVG since our last outbreak it has been working really good. Knock on wood. It does conflict with norton and norton slows down the speed of your computer. We just found this out. Our norton was scanning AVG causing the computer to run really slow. As well as the last microsoft update had some program that slowed our computer down so much that it froze.



AVG is a free download unless you want to upgrade to a higher one.
